As an Irwin Insights Level 3 Master Certified Trainer, Darcy spent 27 years policing in the City of Vancouver. The last ten years were spent in the Vancouver Police Mounted Unit. During that time Darcy trained both horses and riders for urban patrols, ceremonial events, protests, demonstrations and crowd control.
Darcy was introduced to Working Equitation in 2016 and in July 2018 attended the Cross National Camp and Cup in Eugene Oregon. In October 2018 Darcy was accepted to ride at the Mane Event in Chilliwack in the Working Equitation clinic with Jill Barron.
Darcy is passionate about developing confidence and leadership in the partnership of horse and rider. Darcy enjoys helping riders move forward to meet challenges while focusing on finding ways to maximize learning while minimizing stress.
In 2018 Darcy and her Morgan/Friesian gelding Odin placed in the top ten (10th) in the Cross National Cup in Oregon US Introductory Level and Internationally placed 3rd overall Introductory Level (US) and 1st place in Morgan Horse for 2018 (High point).
